I've been diving ScubaPro Classic, while I like it alot, there are a few things I would love to see or change on it. So for all the experts out here, I'm wondering if there is a BCD out there that fits my criterias:

* Standard BCD, doesn't matter back-inflated or normal jacket
* No BP/W, just my own weird preferences
* NO cummberbund, I can't stand that thing. I can't never get that thing to fit me
* NO integrated weight system, can't stand it, it's a huge PITA getting in and out of water. I know people would say, if I don't want to, why not just use a belt instead, bu I just don't want to have to pay for a feature that I never use
* Decent amount of D-rings and lift. I dive mostly up in the Northeast
* Easy enough for travel
* Can be fitted for double if I want to

I know it's a tall order to fill, it seems that the only one I can find to fit the bill is the Scubapro Classic Sports. Althought, I had my eyes on Zeagle Tech, except the integrated weight system and kinda heavy. Does anyone have a suggestion? Any BCD that can come close to what I need? Or am I just dreaming? ;)

Sounds like the Oceanic Excursion formerly the Chute might fit your needs. It's a back inflate BC 1600 denier nylon, chest strap, harness style fit up front, optional crotch strap, padded back with lumbar support, 5 stainless steel d-rings (pre-bent), 45 pound lift. It is weight integrated but you could just take the pockets out and use a belt. All Oceanic BC's can be fitted for doubles with application of a bracket that quickly fits onto the molded tank cradle. The MSRP is $560 but Scubatoys has them for $300.

Awesome guys, any other suggestions!!!

I figure Transpac will be one of my options. What I don't understand is, what's really different between Transpac and BP. One is steel/metal, and the other isn't? A quick explaination would be much appreciated, before it gets into another BP/Jacket Death Match. :shakehead

Don't Zeagle rangers work with doubles?
I really like Ranger, its quality and design, but it has the three main things that I don't like. Cummberbund, Integrated weight, and the sucker is huge!!! The Zeagle Tech comes close, but again, sucker is heavy.

Armadillo Sidemount Exporation Harness, training needed.
Holy cow, if I wear that thing, I might get humped by sea turtles. Sorry, no pun intended, just never seen one before.

This one sounds promising, well within my budget as well. If I use the double down the road, I should get the 65# bladder, shouldn't I? Also, what's the main difference between the Chute and Excursion, the price difference is $100

Walter, I knew you would say that. It's just a bit hard to fit it into my budget at the moment, I'm looking for a used BCD for now, and I don't see it that often ebay.

Looks to me like you already know the answer.

You sure you really like a Ranger? You can take that cummerbund right off if you want to. Heavy... as in compared to what? No need to really answer that.

Yeah it's different alright.

Then go for it!!! ScubaPro makes quality gear.
