I am in the market for a new wrist mount. The Oceanic Atom 2 caught my eye. I have a small frame so would like to have a fairly small console on my wrist, when I travel I like to keep it on most of the time. That way it is always there whenever I get around to logging the dives. Sometimes that is pretty far after the dives.
Is it easy to use or is it more like a complicated sequence of memorized button pushing and magic phrases that must all be used in the proper sequence and key? Can you change the battery yourself, safely? Does it have the safety stop notice, surface time,
avg depth etc...
Please tell me all,,,what you like, what you don't. I want a unit I will be happy with and there are so many to choose from the task of choosing is TRULY daunting. Especially because I plan on having it for a while.

I would really like to hear back from anyone who has experience with this unit.

My batteries last 12-18 months with heavy diving use. They are user replaceable but watch what your doing, some have flooded.

Philmayer your info was a BIG help:D. I really appreciate it.
I have not yet seen how/where the transmitter mounts.I use a bio-filter , is that gonna make for any kind of problem you can think of? And btw, do you love your Atom 2?
