I just purchased a Pro Blue mask with anti-fog lens. I wondered if I need to (or should) pre treat my lens or just use it right out of the box. The lens are also tinted.

If it says it's anti-fog, sounds like that's all there so to it. What do the instructions say?

Report back after you dive, I might have to buy stock in the company that makes them.

I could be wrong but most likely "anti fog" could mean that some sort of coating has been used so the normal scrubbing could compromise that. I'd recommend trying it out in a pool to see if it fogs or not to be 100% sure.

Agreed. If it's originally antifog, there no reason the ore treat it because the pre-treatment for mask is for anti fogging

Actually most (all?) swim goggles come with anti-fog coating on the inside and it works for small values of "work": you're not exhaling into them and pool water isn't all that cold (though it can be colder than the Caribbean) so they don't fog up nearly as much as a mask can, After a few weeks it starts to wash off and it's back to licking them, though. So that stuff exists, I doubt it will work any better or last any longer in a mask.

Do not apply any of the store bought de-fogs as they may destroy the coating. Use spit if you find you must use something.
