I learned to dive back in summer 2001 but stopped in spring 2002 when my oldest daughter was born. Time, money and wife's paranoia all contributed.
Now she's 8 and is a water bug. I gave her a snokling kit (mask, snorkle and fins) for her birtday. Trips to the lake and turned into her spending hours face down in the water to see what she can see and diving down for a closer look. A few more years and if she stills shows an interest I'll look for junoir courses.
In any case it's brought back my interest and I found scuba board while tooling around the net. It'll be a while before I get a chance to get into the water again so in the meantime I'm re-reading the manual from my open water course and reviewing things like the RDP tables.
