pff.. looking for a p-015.. found one for $320 :icon10: :icon10: i know there hard to find but ouch....
I allsow found the ikelite housing for around $500...

Normaly the price it would be an easy question... is the $180 worth it?

OR did i make the mistake of picking the 5050 over the 5060 :( because of the price jumps i mean its double...
please tell me a made the write choice so i can stop searchin the internet for housing still left...

You made a good choice! Only you can deside if the Ike is worth the extra money. It won't be discontinued and you'll always have Ike's excellent customer service. I have nothing against the PT-15, I have 2 of them, but they ARE getting hard to find. The extra durability and customer service from Ike, would really make me consider it since the $$ gap is getting shorter. Now if the Ike were just a bit smaller..........:D

I found the PT-015 for $159 in August so the choice was easy for me but as the gap in the prices is so low now, I would have bought the Ikelite now.
Yes it is a little bigger but at the same time more solid and rated for deeper use beside all the reasons mentioned by Dee.
Not that I'm unhappy with the PT-015 ;) Haven't flooded my camera.........yet:D

I have my 5050 in a pt 15, but I bought my husband the ikelite set-up. After using both I actually prefer the pt 15- it fits much better in my smaller hands and I think the knobs/buttons are easier to use. If I were buying another case for myself I would buy another pt 15 even at a similar price, but I mostly dive in Roatan and don't really care to go deeper than 120'. My husband has much bigger hands and likes the ikelite better, but even he likes the pt 15 controls better. The little paddles in the ikelite can be tricky. So unless you have a real need for the deeper rated case, or do a lot of rough shore entries (we haven't taken the cameras out in Monterey yet, but I'm sure the ikelite will be better for the shoredive except for the size and weight) I would recomend the pt 15
