Another new open water diver joins the ranks of PADI,

I very recently certified while working down in California (Monterey Bay) and absolutely loved it.
Living in Missouri at this time of year doesn't seem to offer to many opportunities, but I am fairly free and easy when it comes to travel, so if anyone has any suggestions warm dives, I'd love to hear them.

I'm looking to move on to Advanced as soon as possible and my goal is Dive Master.

Its no secret that the warm waters are in southern Fl, Cozmel and Belize to name a few. I'm glad to hear about your OW cert. scuba diving is a blast isnt it. I'm in the heartland of america also so I have to go somewhere to get a good dive in.
again welcome to the SB.

Aloha :) I just got my PADI OW ticket not too long ago too...and I'm itchin' to dive in warmer waters. But for now it's the chilly pacific northwest... If you care to test out your drysuit skills....we've got some amazing sites up here! (*I hear some use wetsuits up round these parts....but WHY???!?!? :errrr: ) LOL Cheers! p.s. Only kidding for all you pacific northwest divers who brave the chilly waters in wetsuits...I'm just uber sensitive to the cold, that's all. :)

:wave:Welcome to the Scuba Board. :hi: Fun place to hang out, compare, argue, etc. :thumb:

And you came to the right place. It's two plane rides each way every trip for me, and I'll still do 6 or more trips a year. How soon you wanta' go? I got lots of ideas, several experiences, and I might know what I'm talking about!

Now - if you want to dive with me you'll need AOW, Nitrox card, and Nitrox computer. Until then, there'll be plenty of others on the boats to buddy up with.
