I went on a chamber ride with a group a couple of years ago. My son took his aluminum water bottle into the chamber and forgot to crack open the lid. It was only partially full and at about 130ft there was a loud bang and the bottle collapsed.

So aluminum is good to 129 feet! I like the nalgene idea. I figured on a new lid, but maybe with the proper o-ring you might not even need that. I won't be on a deep dive for another month. Interested in hearing of other's experiments.
