nope nothing like that. she was the one that encouraged me to get back into photography. shes always stressed that. i was set to get the d70s but she said that knowing me id want to upgrade and in her exact words, "One time big time go for the d200" what more can i say?

I went for the D70s instead of the D200 to save up for some lenses. I figured that the almost $1,000 dollars difference between the 2 dslrs can be a nice start up lens kitty and that the lenses can be still be used even if I "upgrade" to another Nikon body in 2 to 3 years time. By that time also, the D200 may be reasonably priced .

My 0.02 cents.
