The Air Force ain't known for being hard core military. I remember being in Korea and visiting an AB there when they were in the field. They draped camo nets over bldgs and wore TA-50. I kinda laughed when they told me what was going on.

You are right about that. When I was serving in Vietnam you could a least say, they showed up, wore a uniform and they were on our side. :jetfighte :usa:

boys, just make sure you drop the snake and nape on THAT side of this here little
red line, ok?

8th & I they are not .... LOL!

ds, most people would ask "whats your point?" Prior Marines feel the spittle and b*tch-slap just looking at that picture .... eyes front!

Lock it up Marine! BTW I did 4 years at 8th&I with D&B Company.

Most of my fellow MARINES over here call the airforce base the "Country Club". After all, they have the best golf course on the entire island.

Shut the ---- up,
suck it the ---- up,
grow the ---- up.....

I've seen a lot a air force bases and I'm convinced that they lay out the golf course first and then design the base around it.

My brother in law tells a funny story that illustrates the differences between the services. He was was working on a joint service tactical nuke program while at Lawrence Livermore. The way he tells it, each service had very different concerns about the device...

Navy - not interested -- "what's the point?"
Army - "Great idea, now lets talk about the instruction manual, it will need to be at least 3" thick..."
Airforce - "can it be dropped a fast mover?"
Marines - "where are the handles? It really needs handles so we can carry it up the beach"

If your looking for discipline you need to look at the Marines.

Ya, I heard Marine's don't look at chicks! LOL

Just kidding! I was Air Force. Had to say it.

As a sailor, I would have been "sneaking a look" if I could...

and

It would have been sneaking as the person running the formation would have chewed me out thoroughly for letting my eyes leave the task at hand, showing a lack of discipline and most importantly GETTING CAUGHT AT IT!

I had to get that one in myself. All the services have their attitudes for good reasons and they all have their purpose. Their is a reason that the Air Force got split out of the Army Air Corp after WWII. They are still excellent at what they do. And I wouldn't want anyone guarding my life other than a disciplined Marine.
