Final tally of the eDiving Summer Contest

Let's start with David Bentley from Chatsworth; as the winner for Week 14 he is receiving the 7MM Pyrostrech Wetsuit. This is what David had to say about eDiving: "I learned about DiveNav from the BB at diver.net and was surprised at how much detail you have been able to put in your simulator. This is a great tool for surveying and getting familiar with a dive site quickly".

Then ..... roll of drums ... we have the WINNER FOR THE INSTRUCTORS PRIZE ($500 in CASH) .... a familiar face here in SoCal: Carlos Linares from Long Beach. I am pretty sure that, given the economy these days, Carlos will put those dollars to good use.

Few days ago we announced that DiveNav will demonstrate at DEMA its new "Virtual Buddy Diving" system; basically you will be able to do a virtual dive together with your friends - or students if you are an instructor.
This is what Carlos had to say about our new Virtual Buddy Diving feature: "By using this new buddy diving feature, I will be able to remotely conduct a guided virtual dive with my students; they would get an early exposure to the dive site while practicing dive planning, buddy awareness and air monitoring. The chat feature is great for pointing out things for their upcoming dive in real-time".

So, if you are planning to attend DEMA, make sure to stop by the DiveNav booth ($4951) and play a bit with this new feature - and do a dive on the Spiegel Grove too.

Am I forgetting something? ..... Yes, the winner of the Grand Prize - TWO OceanReef Full Face Masks with Underwater Communications!!!
.
Here we go ..... another roll of drums .....

The lucky winner of the Grand Prize has now a new toy .... and I am pretty sure that he will get new buddies too. Who wouldn't want to be able to keep in contact - talking - with his/her buddy while diving? Lucky him!

And, last but not least, the winner of the Grand Prize is ........ Thomas Springer from Corona del Mar.

I want to extend my personal congratulations to Thomas, Carlos, Shawn, David, Tim, Don, Doug, Jeffrey L., Jon, Erik, Veronica, Brian, Clint, Ryan, Robert, Jeffrey H. and Kristofer - and all of you that have participated in the eDiving Summer Contest.

The Summer Contest is finally over, and we are already launching the next one ... the eDiving Fall Contest! We will release details next week at DEMA .... but what I can tell you now is that you should keep eDiving ..... for every eDive you will perform, you will accrue 10 "credits" ... and you will be surprised when you will discover how much you can do with those credits! ;)
