I was there in November. The water was pretty cool then and vis was poor. Of course, that could have changed a lot in the past two months. I wasn't diving in the usual spots either. So, I guess I'm not much help. ;)

I've found it to be difficult to get information on current conditions at Amistad. There is a shop and a dive club in Del Rio you might try contacting. Just do a Google search for info. I have to say that I've had trouble getting info from the dive club too.

Good luck!

Del Rio Dive Club hasn't posted any current conditions lately, but you should contact Robert (dive club president). He should be able to get you the info.

Right now I MAY be going out there on 2/8. If I get there before you I'll let you know what I find.

Hey, Joe.

How is Medina looking lately? I'd like to get back out to Joe's Place, but heard the viz is pretty bad. Has it been getting any better?

I heard back from Robert at Del Rio Dive Club and he says the latest reports are 50 degrees at surface and 20' viz. He is planning to dive this Sunday and will give me a more updated report then.
