Photo Workshop on Indonesia's Ambon Island with Don Silcock
Equator Diving recently joined forces with Don Silcock, an underwater photographer and photo-journalist, originally from the UK, and now based in Australia. To celebrate Don coming on board we have arranged a special photo workshop at the new Maluku Divers Resort in Ambon which will be free of charge to the first six people who sign up for the trip at our regular rates. Ambon is one of Indonesia's best dive spots, and along with Lembeh one of the greatest muck diving locations on the planet. A place of unique discoveries, new species are frequently described for the first time in Ambon, with the most famous being the 'Psychedelic' Frogfish (Histiophryne Psychedelica). It is also a hotspot for the elusive Rhinopias Scorpionfish, with Maluku Divers naming one of their dive sites 'Rhinopias City'. During this unique week you will get hands-on tuition and daily feedback from Don whilst diving sites such as the Twilight Zone, which Don describes as the one of the best muck/critter sites in Indonesia. In addition to the amazing critter dives, Ambon is also blessed with the beautiful Hukurila Caves and the Ambon Shipwreck, both of which are perfect places to home your photography skills.
