I'm very much enjoying my Greenwater Magic Filter, which I have taped to the back of my Tokina 10-17 fisheye lens. While it take a while to get the hang of getting an accurate manual white balance, I love being able to see detail and color in wide underwater seascapes (quarryscapes?). Also, it's nice to be able to leave the big dual Z240 strobes and the Mangrove light behind - makes for a much more maneuverable gear package.

Dutch Springs never looked so good!

Can you imagine if they made a mask with that filter? All my dives would be great viz. :rofl3:

Oh, they definitely do! Color Corrected Scuba Masks

But I don't know if they would actually be that good, since they would (1) diminish the amount of light reaching your eyes (on the camera, you can crank the ISO), and (2) you wouldn't be able to continually change the "white balance" of your eyes at different depths. That having been said, the human visual system is pretty amazing, and can adapt to very wide ranges of light - that's why sunsets look so pretty!

Also, I think that the Magic Filter people really have worked out some proprietary magic that isn't available in mask form yet.

But the best way of boosting viz is still to find buddies who stay off the bottom. :)
