I have some Sharkskin weight pockets like yours which work just fine but I do get 'hassled' by buddies for not having easily ditched weights when I've used them.

I say " bugger the buddies and dive what is right for you ", don't get me started on a balanced rig and correct weighting, I will bore you to tears.
