ALT error code?

Hi,
My old Veo 100 flashes 'ALT' 4 or 5 times and then switches off.
I tried a new Panasonic battery [previous batt also Panasonic]
Searched under error/ALT error/error messages/etc on this board, but found
nothing.
Any suggestions as to a fix?:depressed:

Sounds like the altitude sensor is kaput and you'll need to send it back.

Yep. Thats what mine did when the sensor croaked.

My VT3 did the same thing this past summer after almost one year of use. I called Oceanic up and asked if there was anything I could do to fix it myself, (take battery out for 24 hours, new battery...) and the lady just chuckled and said no, I'd have to send it in. I sent it back and they sent me a brand new one. From the sound of her chuckle, I figured it was something pretty bad.
