I just bought the Hero 3 helmet cam (actually can be attached about anywhere) I wanted to get video along with my stills (Canon 20D, Ikelite housing, dual DS51 strobes) and am not looking to get high resolution professional quality video, just something to show friends and family.

Has anyone used one of these? How was the quality?

Mike

My guess is unless you dive with your head very still, you will get shaky video filled with back/forth pans and tilts.

Is it small and can it be mounted to your camera housing ? If so, that would probably work better than on a helmet.

I agree, I'll be looking at that option as soon as I get it.

Thanks for the suggesiton.

Mike

I think it would be great for taking some video while you are shooting with your DSLR. I've thought about getting something like this, not for pro video quality but just for family and friends. I think there is an arm mount strap you could use. The price makes it worth a try. The fact it is only good to 100' doesn't matter because the light isn't there anyway.

Let us know how it works, the review I read as positive.

Will do, going to Cozumel in June hope to use it on a drift dive or two.
