yup, northern kentucky! boyfriend and i are scheduled to complete ow certification mid-september and are very excited about diving! i am currently reading a book called "Diving on the Edge" by Michael Bane and working on setting some goals on my dive career. any suggestions on places to go for inexperienced divers, small tips of the trade-what not to do, what TO remember (things they don't tell you in class) are very welcome!

Welcome to ScubaBoard!

Hey There! Welcome to the board! I'm a few hours away, SW, in Owensboro. If you ever find yourself diving in Western KY look me up! By the way there is the Kentucky Piranha Patrol here on the board. Most are from fairly close to you in the Louisville/ Lexington area & southern IN & OH. By the way watch out for a character named Wally.... He's a trouble maker.:D

Hello and good morning! Welcome to the sport. I'm in Northern Kentucky as well. If you are ever interested in going diving, our group is pretty much active every weekend, either diving or some other activity. We'll dive locally, right now Falling Rock Quarry in Louisville, do regional weekend trips to Gilboa, Pennyroyal, Mermet Springs, or Haigh Quarries, and then of course some larger trips. My biggest suggestion is to get out and dive. Quarries may not be the carribbean, but the more you dive, the more comfortable you are, and the more enjoyable vactions get to be.
