You get what you pay for, and sometimes still pay too much.

That said I have found quite a few items over the years to be more than adequate. Most of them fittings and stuff for work, but a few decent diving items.

Those would include ratchet reels, finger spools, neoprene strap covers, solas dSMBs and silicone regulator mouthpieces.

Whenever I'm in the market for a non-critical piece of kit I always take a cruise through AliX. But, as always, caveat emptor.

Stuff like SS316 double and single ender clips that I've bought have been outstanding. Way cheaper than branded stuff, and not one has failed me, or rusted. Some I've had for a few years even. They're probably from the same factories that make the branded ones.

I've been using a wing from KeepDiving over the Australian summer, and it's held up exceptionally well. Both physically (threads, dump valves, inflator hose and valve - all unchanged), and visually (no discolouration from the brutal Australian sun/UV). I might make a thorough review here sometime. Friends like @Tassie_Rohan keep giving me a hard time over the green camouflage pattern, but other than stylistic choices, I have no complaints.

I've had some weight pockets for over a year now too, and they look as good as new. Torches can be hit and miss. Basically most small accessories can be fine. I just stay away (for now) from anything critical like regulators or dive computers.

The only recent purchase I can remember being bad are silicone mouthpieces. They're absolute trash, rough edges and rather small. Some people complain in the reviews about masks being too small too. I haven't bought a mask there, so I can't review further. Sizes for anything you wear (swimmers, wetsuits, gloves, masks, boots, etc.) can all be a huge mess, they're not consistent.

Ali and its T- named cousin have provided me innumerable snap rings, split rings, throwaway finger reels, pouches, inflatable DSMBs, mesh bags, and other assorted bits of non-life safety critical items.

Unfortunately for us Yanks the T/AE pipeline is specifically targeted and getting hit in the current US tariff stuff and items will now be disrupted and more expensive. Hope you Brits and Aussies can still enjoy it like it's the good old days!!!
