I see your point. That you cannot do on Coz. That is something that does not appeal to me, 4 am dives

While you can find secluded places to shore dive, that is not the general rule.

Ah ... no. This is wrong on all counts.

It's not the shore diving, per se, that appeals to me ... it's the freedom to make and execute my own dive plans that does. I sometimes wake up at 4:30 in the morning wanting to go diving. Places like Bonaire and Roatan give me the option to do that.

And it's not necessarily true that shore dives are limited to overdove spots ... or that you need a boat dive to find interesting dives. I've gone shore diving on days when I didn't see another diver all day, and come out of the water on some of them just vibrating with excitement over what I saw. Perspectives are based on experiences ... mine are very different than yours.

Oh ... and FWIW ... my dive budget is approximately $15K to $20K per year over the past five years or so ... my preferences have more to do with perceived value than with cost.

No, it's not called OBSERVATION, it's called constantly reading the Cozumel thread and everything that pertians to it, which not all of us do. There are other places in the World besides Coz, you know.

Whatever John...make whatever comments you want. I am not going to indulge you with an argument over this as it's really and insignificant thing and I won't bother replying to you again.

However, BTW...aside from the fact that Bob was mentioned in the trip report, I knew they were making the trip together and that they often dive together from threads OUTSIDE of the Coz forum...and I don't spend 1/2 the time you do on the forums as evidenced by your # of posts and date registered.

This one's nice ... very simple to use and quite small. Gonna work on Cheng's pics over the week-end, and maybe post another photo show when I'm done.

LOL...yes. Pilot and Christi, you guys kiss and make up now...I'm going to get a Rebel XT in the next couple weeks, but don't think I'll have the housing before Coz in May. Before my fall trip for sure though...

That is my point.

But you're right, it is not a big issue and not one that I will dwell on. I don't mean to be obstinate but I reacted to your tone, which I thought was not cordial.

LOL, it was just a misunderstanding.

LOL...yes. Pilot and Christi, you guys kiss and make up now...I'm going to get a Rebel XT in the next couple weeks, but don't think I'll have the housing before Coz in May. Before my fall trip for sure though...
