Hi, i live in wales UK, i`ve recenltypurchaesed an Uwatec Aladin Pro, and the battery life is on 58%, so i`m just thinking about getting it replaced, i`ve spoken to my LDS and they told me it would cost about 45 pounds!!!!!!
i was outraged as i had been told by people previously that it cost about 20 pounds, is this too much or is it about the right price, is there anywhere else anyone knows where i can send it to get the battery replaced???
Thanks Tom

Totterfield,
You don't need to start worrying about getting the battery changed until it is displaying around 25%. So you should have quite a bit of use until then.
When you do need to have the battery changed check with different ScubaPro/Uwatec dealers.

Larry

Your 58% is probably enough to last awhile, depending on how much use the computer gets. However, if you should decide to get it changed, DO NOT go to your LDS. I have an Aladin Pro Nitrox that I just got back from Uwatec today. I sent it to them myself through the mail. They recieved it, replaced the battery, recalibrated and pressure tested it for the whopping price of $55.00 US. 50 dollars was for the labor/battery and 5.00 was for shipping. I shipped mine to Uwatec USA in California. If you are in England then you should ship to your closest Uwatec factory. Go to www.Uwatec.com to find out the exact address to ship to. Include a letter with your contact info. They probably wont communicate with you unless you call them. I called to make sure they recieved it. I got it back in exactly 2 weeks. It is essentially now a new computer with 99% (max value) battery, and completely clean log book other than the test dive at the factory. Very painless tranaction overall and a good price when you think about it. Oh yeah..include credit card info for billing, or give it over the phone like I did. ZG
