Did anyone else see the documentary on the Science Channel about Al Giddings and a team of tech divers going down to check out the wrecks at the Bikini Atoll? It was pretty good. Some of the bottom silt is still radioactive after more than 50 years, so they had to be a little careful. I learned some things about the H-bomb testing that I had never known.

I saw it and thought it was one of the better Science of the Deep shows. The footage from the testing was great too, I didn't realise it was so well documented. You would think that the metal of the boats would hold more radioactivity than the sand, that was kind of odd.

Deep Sea Detectives on the History Channel is another good show. It's usually hosted by John Chatterton, who most may recognise if they've read any books about diving the Andrea Doria. The other cool thing is he responds and answers questions on their message board, as well as taking suggestions for future shows to the producers.
