Which airline do you usually take to Cozumel? And which airline scares the bejesus out of you?
I keep showing my husband the DAL (Dallas Love Airport) Continental flight, but the minute he sees the 2-by-1 seats to Houston he shuts down. Cabin noise! Puddle jumpers!
Of course, he's the only one in our family with any airline experience, so he should talk.

Doesn't United fly out of Dallas?

Edited:

OK, I guess it's American... my bad

I've flown the Continental Regional Jets from Love Field and DFW to Houston many times and never had a bad experience. It's a less than 1 hour flight. I've also flown Continental to and from Cozumel with excellant service. There is no more cabin noise than the bigger jets.

I believe that American Airlines offers a non stop from DFW to Cozumel.

St. Louis is an American town and I avoid them whenever possible. My first choice when traveling is Delta (which doesn't go to Coz) followed closely by Continental.

I take those "puddle jumpers" to Houston all the time, wether it's my final destination or I'm continuing on to Coz. Those ERJ's are far from "Puddle Jumpers". They are usually faster than the big jets and I love the 2x1 seat arrangment. Wether I'm traveling alone or with my wife I can get a row to myself.

Have used American, Continental and Champion Air which I believe is Funjet but dont recall, out of Dallas. Have not used Funjet for about 4 years. All three are good. Champion is without question the cheepest but the other two are nicer planes and better service. American has only been flying to Cozumel for about a year or so. They used to only fly to Cancun. Continental is now down to just one flight a day out of Houston. I believe it leaves at about 11:30am.

We fly Continental out of Little Rock. Looks like the flight from Oklahoma City is about the same as ours, $512.94 (today), leave at 6:20 am, change planes at Houstion, IAH, arrive Cozumel 11:26. This is a nice flight....you get there early enough to dive your first day.

There are two flights out of Houston (IAH) for CZM. The first flight leaves at 9:15 AM and the second leaves at 12:06 PM.

From KC, I've only flown USAIR. (not my favorite airline) There is a non-stop on Frontier from KC to Cancun which I want to try and take the AeroCaribe flight from Cancun to Cozumel. That would save me a couple of hours (and a day of vacation since it leaves in the afternoon) as opposed to going through Charlotte and appears to be cheaper, too. It just wan't cheaper on my trip earlier this month until I'd already booked the USAIR flight (then, they dropped their fares). It didn't exist last September when I went to Coz.
