...hmm the Master brings up an interesting point. I do not remember servicing a 108 that did not have an adjustable orifice. The 108s I owned are all sold now as I prefer the 109/BA. Interesting that the AIR 2 Second Gens do not have that feature.

For what its worth, all of my 108's have adjustable orifices.

So I got my Air2 2nd gen fixed. Replaced all the O-rings and it now works fine. Fortunately, did not need any other parts.

I brought it to Scubaworld in Makati to have it tuned and tested.

Works great now. Thanks everyone for your inputs.

What is the part no.20? Working on assembly but I can't remember the part and it's not in the photo I took while I was disassembling.
Does seat need to be glued?

Hi Reefer,

If we are still discussing the AIR 2 second generation, part number 20 is an insert that goes into the housing (item 21) Not all AIR 2 second gens have this part as the early models had a square broach stamped into the housing. The insert or broach being square keeps the poppet, which has a square form, from rotating. Sometimes the insert stays nicely put in the housing-most of the times it comes out and adds to the frustration.

PM me with an email address where you can receive PDF files and I will send you the schematic and parts list. The schematic is not much better than the one posted, but you may find the parts list helpful.

If the new seat fits securely into place, not need to glue it. If it seems loose, a (tiny) drop of rubber cement, Aquaseal, or fingernail polish might be in order.

Hi Couv,
You are right. The housing has a square broach. Will send you a PM for the schematic and parts list.
Seat kept dropping from poppet. Will use aquaseal for that.
Thanks!

Once properly assembled, the seat should not be able to drop from the poppet. Glue should not be necessary except to compensate for assembly techniques. If the seat is falling out after assembly, you have other problems. The mfgr and shops use glue because they want to sell another service kit rather than flip a seat.

Awap,

Seemed the Seat stayed once I assembled them together. I had a concern since moving distance of a poppet when I fully pressed a lever seemed longer than thickness of the seat and there is an opening next to where the seat is. Could be different with diaphragm though.
