Looking for some feedback on air supply/redundancy vs. dive profile/depth --

For those that use ponies.....
Do you use them on all dives? If no, what types/depths/profiles do you use them on? What criteria do you use to make this choice?

For those that dive doubles...
There probably aren't too many folks out there who use doubles for ALL dives......but for those that do dive doubles, what types/depths/profiles do you use them on? Again -- what decision criteria (other than they're too heavy/bulky to lug around) do you use in making this decision?

I'm not looking for flames on the use of ponies....just the logic behind what YOU do and why.

Thanks.

shore dives: single tank with H-valve

boat: doubles (might or might not schlep a "deco" bottle.
usually do even if NDL and use the high O2 for stops for
the added conservatism)

Same here -- single 80 with an H-valve for shore dives and relatively shallow boat dives (no pony). I don't do many of these dives anymore. If I am on a recreational dive charter (very rare), I'll take my doubles for two dives. If I'm on vacation in the tropics doing shallow recreational stuff, I reconfigure for a K valve 80. If I need redundancy (ceiling dives) on a dive I use the doubles.
For the most part I use my double 95's for one or two wreck dives. Most of my doubles dives are between 80' and 200' and are penetration wreck dives. Most of the time, I'm well into deco so I sling a deco bottle (normally 50%). Bottom times are not all that long (less than 70mins) since I'm a panzy and get cold easy in the upper Great Lakes.
