I use a AI computer on a console, I don't like anything on my wrists either.

...Oceanic Datamax Pro Plus off right HP port......and Halcyon SPG off left HP port...at least this is my single tank configuration.

Have an IA Oceanic pro plus 2 and I love it:D
No i don't need a xtra SPG this one works fine.
Noboby give me any BS on your battery can fail.
It can't just check it before you dive:D

IF you don't trust electronics that just your problem.
I do trust them, and love them

I use a Suunto Cobra AI, but I keep a spare set of gauges with me in my dive bag. I can always abort a dive if the computer fails, but my trip isn't ruined.

I use a wrist mount AI computer on right wrist, and a Dive Rite SPG from L post to L hip D-RIng. I had the transmitter fail in the middle of a dive (before I had the "hard wired" SPG) and let me tell you that is unnerving- not knowing your air pressure at depth. As a matter of fact, I got the SPG while I was having the computer repaired, and never took it off.
