Hello all!

Newbie to scuba diving and shopping for my first set of gear.
When you dive with an air integrated computer (Suunto Cobra), do you carry a mechanical air pressure gauge also? Is the computer trustable to tell what is the tank air pressure?

What do you think? Thanks!

Yves

Welcome to the board! No info on using AI computers, but I carry an analog depth gauge along with my wrist computer, for calibration purposes (making sure both agree) and in case of computer failure. However, as far as pressure gauge reliability, I haven't heard many complaints.

I trust an electronic gauge as much as a mechanical one.

I also trust the pressure gauge on my cobra. The only time people seem to think it is neccesary to carry a mechanical backup is when doing technical diving.
