Age of Oceanic First stage?

I have an oceanic balanced piston first-stage that I want to convert to DIN. There are 2 kits available, 1 for pre-1999 and one for post-1999.
How can I tell how old the FS is?
There are no serial numbers.....
I suspect the FS is very old - but how can I be sure?

Pre-99 pistons have ambient ports in the swivel cap (middle of the 3 main components) - the post-99 has them in the body (same section that the yoke is attached to). If you can upload a picture, we can tell you exactly what you have.

That's real simple. I'll post a picture anyway - but form your description its definately a pre-1999 as the ambient ports are in the middle section.
