For those non-fire fighters out there who have wondered about the differences between Interspiro's Spiromatic and its cousin the MKII I can tell you they are EXTREMELY similar (just purchased an ancient rubber one for some lab work). The internal second stage is pretty much identical. Whats comical is that the lever is between the diaphram with no purge button and the demand switch...of course there is no nose block....sliced the end of my long hose and fitted it over the barbed connection...will bring my tank to the lab for level III protection.....whats impressive is the thrashing it took and the condition of the internal parts, they seem to have held up nicely...
