I just don't log dives
I will be heading out shortly to dive the splashdown out of Boynton Beach. Their urls is http://www.splashdowndivers.com/ so give them a call if you want to dive with us.

Pete,

I'm curious about how it went with Splashdown. I haven't dived with them before.

Also, how were the conditions? I'm going to Boynton on Sunday morning and don't know how much neoprene to pile on...

and I am remiss to not tell y'all that sooner. I have always been impressed with Loggerhead and when they were too busy it was with some trepidation that I went with Splashdown... but they were just as awesome as Loggerhead and a lot less crowded. Neither of the boats is on a "power trip" trying to tell divers or instructors how/when/where to dive. They give you the freedom to dive in the way you want to.

In reality, good charters are hard to find, but finding two excellent ones in the same marina is beyond good luck. The reefs were beautiful and the water was 75ish. I only wore a 3mm jacket, and I really didn't need that. Last Saturday the seas were F-L-A-T... and the sun was warm and life was good. Did a NitrOx as well as an OW check-out. Current was pretty slack... did I mention that life was good?

Life is always good when you're underwater.

I'm having to make a point to get back underwater more often... had a few months where "real life" was interfering with the really important things!

I'll certianly keep Splashdown in mind when I call Loggerhead and they're full. I don't often find Loggerhead crowded, but I've never been with them when they had a checkout group, either.

Glad you enjoyed. I'll have to let you know how it goes on Sunday!
