ARRRGGGHHH, just a whine. I go to LP's site ordered the citizen hyperaqualand and decide to go for the 3 day shipping. It lets me go all the way through and order, then after it takes my order i get an automated email response saying LP is closed for some holiday and wont be open till the 10th. Hmmmm maybe that should have been posted upfront before letting people order stuff. And So much for 3 day shipping. I will be Canceling this order, but there is no one there to talk to so i can do this, plus their website is down.
This was my first try with LP, and i can say i am very much not impressed. I hope they dont try to give me a hard time about cancelling my order, but if they do i will call the cc company and dispute the charges. So we have definately gotten off on the wrong foot, i hope they dont make it worse by giving me a hassle about cancelling.
Its extremely irritating that they would knowingly keep accepting orders when they are going to be closed for a week and dont put any notice on their website. (hmmm thats probably why its down right now so they can try to say that it was posted)
Well regardless like i said before i absoloutly will be cancelling my order, and dont know if i will be shopping from them again anytime soon, if ever!
Ok rant off..... :banghead:

How do you use that over your 7mm wetsuit and cloves??? That's why I have a Suunto Mosquito.........

as long as you get the rubber strap, there is an extension that comes with it for going over thicker suits.

PS. Shaka, you looked better a few days ago!! are you feeling ill? ;)

It's that PMS thing I think..........

LeisurePro takes a lot of holidays and scheduled time off. Usually this is posted somewhere dramatic, as I always refer to it when ordering from them. They will also mention this if you call them on the phone, usually as an automated pre-message before you get an operator.

If you need gear in a hurry, they are not the ideal means to facilitate that. Like many mail order companies, there is often quite a lag between receipt of order and actual shipping date. Many people are often unaware of this, and view it as a flaw in customer service. That "3-day shipping" is a perfect example, and technically only applies to shipping time. If I were the customer service rep you called up in complaint of your order, I would likely apologize for your inconvenience but bring you up to speed on the details of U.S. shipping nomenclature. If you were nice I'd probably rescind your order. LeisurePro customer service tends to be nice, so good luck with your efforts.

Don't blame them for the holiday thing. New York city has holidays just about every month, it seems; I run into the "your order will ship late because of (insert holiday)" so much I want to scream.

BTW, that's when ordering camera parts and supplies. Or electronics stuff. Or anything from NYC. They seem to have holidays at the drop of a hat! Sheesh.

I'll say that all the other web sites do tell you on the home page of delayed orders due to the holiday, and it happens often enough, that it would be nice of LP to do the same.

All the best, James

Well their site is back up and i find no mention of a holiday. By any standards a decent business would have it prominently displayed that they will be closed and if you order it will be delayed. Also I see as per their policy they have a cancellation policy, if i can ever contact them before they ship it. Also at the very least they have a 14 day return policy in which case i will only get screwed out of shipping cost. And they were cheaper than gem of the day.

They do do this, at least whenever I've ordered from them. Must be an error on the webmaster's part. Seeing as how I've read scores of leisurepro-bashing posts but never heard about this particular issue 'til now, I figure it's a fluke.

I wasent an LP basher, Hence me ordering from them. It's just the first time i have tried ordering from them but I can say now though that they have probably lost me as a customer forever. Wow i getting back on my rant....ok let me get off my soapbox ;)
