The diver there checked out ok too; had a heart attack a few months later, and though he's still with us and has made a good recovery, his doc has decided he cannot dive any more.
So now he's into spelunking

Not sure if dive shop contacted Dan, or just EMS, they did inquire about DAN Insurance. I saw the dive profile on his computer, which verified a normal ascent and safety stop. Problem was mostly on right side both times after confusion abated. Left side was strong enough that he was able to assist in holding himself up with a boat rung when his right leg gave a little. (We assisted as well, standing fore and aft of him.)
Freeport Bahama was area of incident, but neither doctor, nor EMS diagnosed chamber time as reccomended.
Awaiting new battery of tests to ID cause currently.

Latest results are clean bill of health from Dr., no lingering symptoms or damage shown up on any test.
His Dr consulted with a DAN trained Dr, and conclusion was a very light case of bends.
But happy ending for something that could have been much worse.
