Hi
I'm trying to find out if any of you has use this AERIS ALMOST 1 wrist computer.

I assume you mean the ATMOS 1.

I have the ATMOS 2 and I really like it. I'm sure if you do a search on this board you will find all the info you are looking for.

Even though you can pick an ATMOS 1 up for pretty cheap, you may want to consider kicking out the extra cash for the Atmos 2. The 2 will give you a Nitrox mode. If you plan on going that route I would deffinitely consider it. If you don't plan on taking your diving to that level, then i'm sure the Atmos 1 would do just fine.

I got mine from www.scubatoys.com . If you tell them your a scubaboard member, you will get 10% off.

Also assuming that you mean the Atmos 1. The Atmos 1 has been discontinued and is being replace by the XR1. IF you find a Atmos 1 it should be around $100. As for the quality, it doesn't do much but that is what I like. I look at it as a glorified bottom timer that you can replace the batteries. Just got my replacement XR1 today so I can't comment other than it is a lot smaller.

Also do a search for Atmos 1 and you will find a couple threads that have some good info.

Hey... We've got several of the older "hockey-puck" size computers in the family... Oceanic and Aeris. How much smaller is the XR1 (and I assume its new Oceanic etc. clones) than the old hockey pucks? Diameter? Thickness? Hard to tell from the few images I've found online.

Do they fit into the same boots? Kind of a moot point, since even the hockey pucks aren't really interchangeable, though they're the same basic dimensions.

Might be a good time to pick up some hockey pucks on clearance!

Not sure on dimensions of the Atmos 1 but the XR1 is about 2 1/4" diameter, 1 1/4 thick, boot and all. Looks like it is a fair amount smaller.
It looks like the same computer as the new Oceanics and it should since they are made by the same company.

Being the XR1 is a lot smaller than the Atmos and other puck computers they aren't going to interchange. I would go out on a limb and say that the new Oceanic and Aeris will interchange but can't say for sure.

You can find them new for $289 where Scubatoys is $369.

Larry might match that price, he usually does. But with that much of a price difference I would think that something is up. I checked a couple places online and they were higher than Scubatoys.

I have an atmos 1. it lacks audible alarms, but other than that is a very invexpensive and easy to use air wrist computer. Since I am as likely to break/lose a wrist computer as anyone, being able to replace it for just over a c-note appeals to me.
