Aeris Reef Rider v Oceanic Islander II

Does anyone know if these are the same product? Apart from a few extra bits of plastic on the Aeris, i'm convinced they probably use the same OEM manufacturer. Seems their suggested recommended price are also identical (same parent company?).

Are there any performance differences between the two?

Apart from some aesthetic changes, they are functionally the same BCD.

I have the Reef Rider. a weak point (design, not physical) is the plastic D-rings . Bent SS rings would be best. Oceanic carabineer design comes closer.

Oh, one more thing. The Reef Rider is an outstanding warm water/travel BC. If you can find it in your size, you can get it for about $200.00. A great value.
