Hello,
Requesting an expedient response from anyone that can help me.
My Aeris Elite T-3 worked great until today's dive. I went down to 105 feet and it still showed me on the surface. The tank pressure would only display if I depressed the side button. At the end of the dive (when viewing in dive log mode), it showed a maximum 105 foot depth on a two minute dive - the actual dive was about 65 minutes. Throughout the dive, it remained in surface mode - it only displayed the depth post-dive.
I am moving next week and am scheduled for my final four dives on Saturday (Friday Stateside time). I don't have time to send it in for repair - not to mention I most likely won't be diving again for the next three years.
And I don't like the idea of sending it in and not getting mine back again - instead, I'll get a refurbished dive computer someone else had - and who knows what kind of care they took of it. Anyway, moot point since a replacement wouldn't get here in time.
Does anyone have any ideas on what I could do to try to get it operational again? There is no low battery indicator. The tank transmitter battery has never been replaced (over 100 dives on it), but the tank icon remained on for the whole dive, so I think that battery is okay. It did show it was in Dive mode and it was set to Air. Last previous dive was two months earlier. I am hoping it might be something simple or something I overlooked. Any suggestions?
Jim
