Greetings, after years of wanting to start diving, I have finally decided to get my OW cert. I want to do it fairly soon (finish in the next month or so) and am currently looking for the best places to do it. I'm located in San Marcos, but am willing to travel a bit if I have to.
Does anyone have recommendations for a good place to do my classes? Also I was planning to do the e-learning courses for the classroom portion because of my work schedule. Would this be a good idea?
Any advice or recommendations for shops/instructors that are good in my area would be awesome. As far as gear goes, what would be a good idea to pick up before the class? I was thinking mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit, and boots.

I have been looking around and came across a few shops that I'm considering.
Has anyone been/would recommend Rick's Dive Locker in Escondido?
