I'm spending a few hours at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) waiting for my flight to Orlando.

Anybody have a good restaurant to recommend?

In the airport, National Coney Island. Get a couple original coneys and let the onions ensure that he person sitting next to you on the plane won't be interested in idle chit chat. The Mediterranean grill in the airport is good too.

What no chili? :11doh:

Oh yeah, the original coney has chili too. It resembles the contents of a baby's dirty diaper, although it smells better and I assume it tastes better too.

Depending on how long you have....downtown Detroit has several good restaurants, but it is a ways away. Greek town and the casinos are nice.

Just a few hours, not enough to leave the airport.

Pickings are pretty slim at DTW. There is a Japanese restaurant that my friends tell me is pretty good. There is a carry-out Japanese place called Musashi in a food court with Starbucks, Burger King, and some other places. That is NOT the one I am talking about. It's mediocre and expensive. The other is a sit-down restaurant in the concourse. Of course, I can't remember the name. I generally avoid eating at DTW if at all possible. The Westin Hotel , which has an entrance from the concourse, has decent food, but it is expensive.
