Question Advice needed on certification from Seamax

Hello all,

So in 2011/2014 I lived in Sharm and started the PADI courses OW/AOW and RD with Seamax divers. Whilst doing the courses I ended up living at the teams apartment and in exchange for helping with the tourists I was diving multiple hours everyday in between lessons with the instructors. As anyone who's lived in Egypt knows, the "rules" are very relaxed or non existent and I was even taking tourists for dives before I had even completed the RD although I had dived around 80 hours by that point.

Anyway to cut a long story short, I ended up falling out with my instructor (Bacri Mohamed) due to moving into an apartment with a diver from another school that had very bad relations with him. I received the temporary cards for the rescue diver etc but soon after I left Egypt and haven't been diving since as my life went in a different direction.

I assumed that the dive school registered my certification but that appears not to be the case.

I've recently moved to Greece and want to complete divemaster but I've since found out that the only certificate registered was EFR. I long ago lost the temporary papers and after calling Seamax to find out why nothing is registered I was told simply they can't help as it was a long time ago.

So I guess my question is can anything be done to solve this issue as I have no evidence of doing the courses other than a few photos.

I haven't dived since so I don't mind redoing the courses as I'm sure there's things I've forgotten but of course I'd prefer not to have to pay it all again.

Any advice or help would be appreciated.

but I've since found out that the only certificate registered was EFR. I long ago lost the temporary papers and after calling Seamax to find out why nothing is registered I was told simply they can't help as it was a long time ago.

Back in those days the temporary papers were issued while you waited for the PADI plastic cards. But those temporary papers (if genuine, of course) were issued after you had your license issued by PADI and your license number would be printed on them. So you should have no problem identifying your license with them

Now, of course, if they just took your money and issued some fake papers there's not much you can do after all these years.
