At this point, I will try the Eclipse 30 with AL backplate and find out how it works with just a wetsuit top. I think that it will work fine. If not, I might swap out the cams bands for something lighter. thanks!

Hi all - reporting from a recent trip to Bali.

Here are my results:
Eclipse 30 with AL backplate - STA (no padding etc on BP)
With only a hoody and vest, 2 lbs (one wt on the upper cam band)
3 mm wetsuit , 4 lbs (one wt on each cam band)
I never used my 5mm, but I am sure that I will use 3 wts (place on wt where the
canister light goes). I ran my gas down to 30 bar at 3m and I had very good buoyancy control.

Halycon Twin wing with AL backplate
3 mm wetsuit , no wts, With little gas in the twins, again neutral buoyancy at about 3m.
I did not use my 5mm, but I suspect that I will need a 2 lb wt with ~30 bar at 3m. So the AL BP works fine. It seems that a steel BP might be better with the 5mm For now, the AL BP with the single and double H-wings work fine. Thanks for the suggestions.
