I dived in March, shoulder period for water temps I dived a 7 mm and was often the only warm diver. I could have gotten away with my 5 mm on several of the dives.

Okay awesome! Thanks!

First week of December, 7mm is an overshoot for me, but everyone is different. Been there several times in the south. Water temperature can vary and can be more than 25°C. 25°C is for Hurghada at this time of the year. The cold comes quite often from high winds

I was comfortable in my 3 mm, with a chillguard underneath, definitely needed a good hood though. It's not so much the water temp as air temp between dives. I recommend a boat coat or equivalent and Chammyz etc. Also a togue or headwarmer for out of the water.

Go light on clothes, take an international power adapter (the kind you can buy in airports) and a book and music, most livaboards don't have much going on between dives so bring your own entertainment also bring a pack of cards to play with fellow divers; it helps break the ice I think

I was fine with 3mm full suit at the start of October with water temps (at depth) of 23-25C (23 was a thermocline which you could easily stay above).

I have a 7mm as well as the 3mm but I think that will be overkill for the temperatures I will likely see over there (it is very comfortable temp wise when I use it here at about 14C water temp).

I might go for a 5mm full suit when I go back in November

I'm taking a drysuit for the first week in December because I have read of people being chilled from the wind. A trilam drysuit with thin undergarment, as I have dived at home in the summer, seems like it should be ideal.
