I like my zeagle stiletto but I am also new so hopefully you get some more experienced replies.

I use a Zeagle Stiletto. It has been a good BC and is still like new.

Try as many BCs and learn about the different features, i.e. one vs two tank straps, multiple pulls, pockets/no pockets, etc.

A BC is a key piece of gear and should last you for years. Take your time and make sure you end up with something you like.

Lot's of folks prefer the BP/W and that would also be worth investigating.

I have had a couple of back inflates (ScubaPro Knighthawk and a Black Diamond made by US Divers, maybe?), a few vests, and a bp/w. There are advantages to vests and advantages to bp/w's, in my opinion, and the back inflate is the best at nothing. So I would eliminate back inflates as a choice.

I like the zeagles, as they fit and feel more like a BP/w harness, as well as liking the ripcord weight system. The d rings are appropriately placed and they just feel good to me. I dive a ranger in singles and a BP/W with my doubles.
