I know that the off season in Coz has really been an OFF season this year, due to hurricanes, gas prices, etc.
I have not seen ads in any of the popular diving magazines offering other than usual specials. I saw a really expensive trip sponsored by a local dive shop. AND other than funjet which doesn't help me out of Denver, I haven't seen any deals on Travelocity, etc.

Just wait... Both Frontier AND United will be starting direct service to Coz from Denver in December. Apple vacations is already partnered with Frontier and was advertising a $699 (not AI) airfare+hotel special at Casa Mexicana (a bit north-- I know) for the first three weeks of January (Tuesday departure). Check www.applevacations.com and click on Specials using Denver as the departure city. After that just keep poking until you see something good. I'm personally holding out for airfare only under $300 so I can make my own arrangement once I'm there. In any case, it's gonna get cheaper.

It seems like the folks in Coz would want to increase business now!...while they are slow for off-season. As we get into Thanksgiving and winter, the high season starts in Coz, and there is less incentive to drop prices.
I'm looking for deals in the next 5 weeks.
 
I understand. As a front-ranger, I keep forgetting that you folks in the Mtns. go looney with boredom this time of year -- too late for the summer crowd, too early for the skiers. Nothing but "drive-by" aspen gawkers. I 'm sympatico- I'd rather be diving now too. Keep checking those Apple specials. Stuff pops up all the time. Good luck.
