The lure of fresh water drives me north tomorrow. Well, actually, it's family weekend time, so fresh water is the only choice.

Planning on Lake Champlain--Willsboro Bay (NY side) which sports a train wreck and who knows what else, and Long Pond (also Willsboro), the pond near my parents' house, searching for that row boat we sank 30 yrs ago. Then we will be doing some archeological work, looking around the nice deep point at a 100 year old boys' camp. I expect we will find a lot of dishes and a great number of fishing lures.

We are acid testing the Scrambler XT kayak diving systems. I am busy splicing and dicing ropes to get ready. If we can survive in a pond, the next step will be the North Shore.

So . . . if you are in the neighborhood, leave a VM at 617-823-6543 (the phone service is questionable at best, but I will eventually get a message). We are open to some other stuff, ideas are plenty welcome.

Heading to Burlington next week, would appreciate a condition report if you have time.
