I am trying to adhesive bond a rubber control cap (Ikelite part) to a tiny plasic joystick on a Canon HV30 video camera. The joystick button is shiny plastic, tiny and slightly concase. I am try to butt the plastic cap right against the center of the button.

Are there any experts out there who can advise a good procedure and materials to make the permanent bond.

TNX if you can help.

Does that work on typical slick "camera plastic?" Do I need to rough up the plastic to get a better adhesion surface, chlorinate the rubber, etc. etc.

???

Definitely rough up any slick surfaces. I have glued UHMW to aluminum with it.
