Yes he was he got his cert here in Hawaii from Aarons dive shop.That's where Selleck did his too.....Aren't I just full of useless trivia!

It makes me feel awkward being 34 and already knowing more than anyone my age should know about these guys. BUT ... my wife is going through one of those mid-life rediscoveries of her lost teenage years. And her obsession of the last 4 years is the backstreet boys. Frankly, the woman eats, sleeps and breathes everything about them - she's always saying goofy phrases like it's a backstreet world and the rest of you just live in it <sigh>.
Anway back to the subject she has pictures of the boys underwater when they were diving in the Bahama's in May of 2000. I'll post a picture attachment in a followup, after I can get her to email me one or two.
Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, Kevin Richardson, and Nick Carter are all certified only A.J. is missing from the ranks.
Ok now here is the most embarrassing thing of all - both my wife and I had a conversation in a hot tub with Howie last month about this very subject - scuba diving. Howie absolutely loves being underwater, and is very proud of the effort it took him to get his certification. (Needless to say my wife was in heaven). Of course I justified my presence simply because wherever there's a discussion about scuba you'll find me
By the way so this is not taken as a hijacking of the thread - be it mediocre Howie has had some bit parts on television such as the animated Arthur for kids and Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
I said I'd give you a picture, I guess I should expect how fast my wife would get back to me if it has anything to do with the backstreet boys.
