Activating backlight on Mares Nemo: how?

I just received a Mares Nemo Titanium, and following the instruction of holding down the +/lightbulb button, the backlight doesn't turn on. How can I activate the backlight on this watch? Thank you in advance.

I don't know of any other backlight setting. When I hold down the plus button the backlight comes on..... Keep in mind "backlight" on this thing is a relative term. It can be hard to see the change in a well lit room....

Aha, thanks Phaedrus. It's sunny and bright (and 27°C!) here in Los Angeles, and I had to go under the bed covers to see the light. It works ... the titanium version is not nearly as bright as it seems to be on the web site, but I won't be using the light in the sun. Thanks for the quick reply, I was a bit concerned that my new computer/watch arrived with a faulty backlight. Seems to be okay.
