Joking aside, i'm fortunate enuff to dive regularly with my boss who's massively experienced in scuba. This exact same thing (the mouth piece vid, not the face flat in the boat trick) happened to him whilst we were about 90' down in a Blue Hole. He just "dealt" with it. It freaked me out tho!!
I replaced my zip ties that night!!
