I have always thought used sodalime smells like wet cement but I have not tasted it during a dive before now. Typical dive 90ft, cold water, crappy vis, slight current. Loop was not gurgling or anything. Breathing rate normal.
Could it be dusty sodalime, poor cannister packing, or just maybe I was concentrating on my breathing more since I couldn't see anything? Comments?

It tastes like cement a little, but that is why I add some tabasco sauce and some lime juice to it.....it is still a little crunchy but unless you have a belneder and some ice cream to make a thick magnesia style shake, it has to do.
