Hi everyone,

My buddy and I are planning to celebrate his 100th dive at the Vandenberg. We've heard there's a massive and iconic radar structure there, and we were really hoping to take some photos with it.

However, I’ve heard from some divers who visited during the holiday season that they couldn’t find the radar—possibly because it might have been displaced by the hurricane.

Can anyone confirm if the radar is still there? If you have recent photos, I’d love to see them! Also, are there any dive operators you’d recommend for this site?

Thanks so much for your help!

Captains' Corner. Ask for Mac to be your guide.

The radar dish has fallen apart to a large extent, so it no longer looks like the photos you see online. It's still a great dive.

Another vote for Captains' Corner. I also recommend Mike Rice (aka 5-star Mike) as a guide.
