The one advantage that the G250V/A700 will have over the other scuba pro Regs is that the

A700 has a "Full-metal body"

G250V is a full metal system, composed of ametal inlet tube, stainless steel orifice, metal inhalation-resistance control knob, and a metal hose connector/heat exchanger.

Again this is taking into account if your diving in cold waters. Being warm waters this wouldnt matter.

Because it looks so cool :D...

Looks aside, the G250V is a more practical 2nd stage that will perform to most of divers needs even in cold water. The A700 uses torx screws to hold the 2nd stage together. I hate having to grab a tool to open up my 2nd stage. Shiny chrome or even Stainless steel looks crappy when it get scratched.

I am getting an A700 so I can look cool though  and have it wrapped in bubble wrap so it won't get scratched in the reg bag:eyebrow:

Guys thanks a lot for your answers! here are some replies :)

mattboy, there is nothing wrong with the set and I didn't know the benefit if there's one on moving to MK25, that's why as asked hehehhe

kac215, I live in Argentina, so it may be a bit expensive for us to make a deal hehehehe

Anyway, as I see. MK17 is better for cold water right? As a matter of fact that is my case for most of my dives here in Argentina. This is a compelling pointr for me to stick with my MK17! Thanks a lot guys!

If you have any other comments, I'm more than welcommed to hear about them!

Alex

I'm looking at the MK25/S600 for my first reg purchase. My instructor loves it and he said its top of the line (everything I read says the same/similar).
