We just got the u/w Canon housing for our A610 and took a pool session day to mess around with the camera. Here's my really basic question: Can you use the flash with the housing? Every picture had a shadowed area - I think part of the housing blocks the flash. Is there anyway around this? How do you get sharp pictures without the flash (low light)?

Ooops. I broke the cardinal rule - do a search first!!!!

Looks like I need to use the flash diffuser. Looks like I also need to RTFM (read the "friendly" manual). We were in a hurry yesterday and I only had time to lube the gasket before we hopped in the pool.

I was also reading up on manual white balance and will use that on our trip.
